Location
The Hahnemann Center for Homeopathy and Heilkunst has its headquarters in Ottawa, the capital of Canada, accessible by plane, train, bus and car. The Ottawa International Airport receives flights from many U.S. cities direct, or via Toronto or Montreal, as well as overseas flights.
Ottawa is situated at the confluence of three rivers and has mountains to the north (for hiking, skiing, biking, canoeing, white water rafting, etc.) and is only one hour's drive from the U.S. border. It is the home of various museums, art galleries, miles of bike and walking paths, the famous Rideau Canal (the longest skating rink in the world in the winter and a boater's paradise in the summer), the RCMP Musical Ride, various festivals (the second largest blues festival in North America, folk and jazz festivals, the tulip festival and a winter carnival) and several beaches. The weather is moderate, with a warm, if variable spring, warm and sunny summer, a colorful fall, and enough cold and snow in the winter to enjoy winter sports.
The HCH is housed in a century or more (circa 1860) former stagecoach inn in the picturesque town of Manotick on the Rideau, a quiet village some 20 minutes south of Ottawa city centre, reached by a winding river road, meandering through fields of corn and grazing cows, and built around one of the only remaining working water mills in North America. The village is a visitor's delight and sports many stores and restaurants.
